MedX equipment is used for:
- As a tool to measure the static strength and range of motion of a patient prior to and during treatment.
- Endurance / fatigue response testing of existing and prospective employees.
- Reliability (malingering) testing.
The MedX equipment tests isometric (static) strength at various positions through a patient's available range of motion in either lumbar or cervical extension.
This test helps the practitioner to:
- Determine the appropriate resistance level for the computer monitored exercise sessions that make up the rehabilitation phase of MedX treatment.
- Compare a patient's results to "norms".
- Monitor a patient's improvement with repeated testing at regular intervals.
